Hi Everyone, I'm starting a project in GLscene which consists the next steps:
1) Import Solidworks model to a 3dsMax model, especifically a piston.
2) Attach some of the elements of the piston with purpose of obtain only 3 complex elements in my viewport.
3) Apply unwrap and then collapse for each elements.
4) Export each of the three parts in the model viewer to .3ds
When I load the 3ds with the name "Trasera" or "Capucha" GLScene have no problem but with the other one "Delantera" the debugger sends me an access violation error and redirect me to the FILE3DS library how you can see in "Error.png".
I'm sure the error is in my 3dsmax modelling or maybe GLScene, Should I set any other parameter in 3dsmax before the exporting?
Thank you for all the support.
Hi Daniel, "Delantera" is the front cover of my piston, where the piston rod is expulsed.
"Trasera" is the back cover and "Capucha" is the external body.
Delantera, is the result of apply "Convert to Editable Mesh" and then "Attach" to the parts that compound this section of the piston.
A similar way I did with Trasera and Capucha but I don't understand why only Delantera has problem.
Strange!
Maybe try removing one part at the time from the Delantra part, and se if you can make it load into glScene. Maybe you can find which part of Delantra is causing trouble.
Sorry I can't help with 3dsMax.

Hi Carlos!
Is the Delantera a cylinder?
All the best,
/Daniel
