I would like to have my new notes show up at a certain location (bounds). I thought that setting the "Use this preference for new notes" checkbox would do this, but it doesn't. Maybe it would make sense more as a general preference?

Currently, new notes default location are based on last note's location with some offset. This makes the note not stack up in one location. May I know the reason why you need to show on certain location?

@wellkord Basically, I like to have just one note showing at any time and always in the same place. I understand the desire to stack, but I would love to be able to override that. Also, my new notes always seem to show up in around the same area, regardless of where I've moved the previous note. Is it looking at the previous note's *start* location or its *end* location? Thanks!

I have only just downloaded this today to trial it on my pc before my Mac arrives. So far it looks pretty good.
I agee with Pat to be able to adjust the start position for a new note would be good for me. i have used Zhorne Stickies for about 8yrs now and it allows you to do this.

I would like to change the starting position because I have multi monitor setup and new notes open opens on the very first farthest to the left monitor, i would like to create new note under mouse or at least on the same screen as the mouse is currently in.

I could even go for the default monitor but in KDE it doesn't matter what is the defaut because by setting every new window managed by kwin opens on the same screen where other "active" screen is currently in, but can change the mode in various way, so I would rather like to have open "under mouse".

Or you could really track the last note location and if I move it - then create new note on the same spot + offset, that would satisfly most ppl.
