Hi, iceberg, Finally I think I know the reason why you can not commit changes. The local copy of the CVS tree contains information about identity of the person who check them out. When you first check out the CVS depository of GLMoM, you may use pserver authentication method, then you made some modifications and would like to commit, however, WinCVS still thinks you are using pserver authentication method, therefore even you have configured WinCVS to use SSH authentication, it would not use it. To solve this problem, make a new directory, then check out GLMoM to the new directory. Then you can try make some modifications to a file, and commit it. This time you should suceed. Have a try! Due to the same reason, if you have two developer accounts, you should check out the CVS tree to two different directories, each time using different accounts. When comitting, WinCVS uses the identity information stored somewhere in the local copy of the CVS tree, not the identity information in the preference dialogbox. I found this from the following doc: http://sfdocs.sourceforge.net/sfdocs/display_topic.php?topicid=46 I check out the CVS tree to a new directory using iceberg8 account. Then I add a line to GLMoMView.cpp and commit it using iceberg8 account. Bingo! this time suceed! Have a look at our CVS depostory where iceberg8 commit changes: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/GLMoM/?cvsroot=GLMoM Yaxun ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com |
