Hello all. I am trying to launch menumaker from glaunch using win98, and am having = a hard time. It runs fine if you run it outside of Glaunch, but I think the reason it = messes up when running it from the glaunch misc menu is that I cant = sucessfully end glaunch with win98, which if it is still running, will = display only the blank screen. I fixed this on win XP, see the posts made about the blank (or black) = screen. I want you to know that I am still working on the problem, after not = being able to devote much time to it over the summer. I came across another problem with win98. The first time you run it, it = cant create the menumake.cfg file and gives you a "bad file name or = number" error. Again, I dont see this problem with winXP. I have found a way to get around that problem. If you create a menumake.cfg file and place it in the same folder as = menumaker.exe, it should be ok. I will let you know when I fix this problem. Here is my menumake.cfg file, if you want to create one yourself. You will have to change the paths to what is on your machine: # This file was created by Menu Maker for GLaunch. # Next line is where glaunch.cfg file is stored. Glaunch.cfg default path =3D c:\glaunch # The next line is where mame.cfg is stored. Mame.cfg default path =3D c:\glaunch\config # The next line is where mame.map is stored. Mame.map default path =3D c:\glaunch\config # Next line chooses wheter or not MenuMaker runs full screen. 1 =3D = fullscreen Run MenuMaker fullscreen =3D 1 You can leave out the lines that start with pound sign #. If you have trouble making this file, drop me a line, give me the info = you see above and I will create the cfg file and email it to you. I had = trouble creating one on my win98, because it created it as a text file. Email me at kenrager AT hotmail DOT com. Substitute the AT with @ and DOT with . Thanks.. --Ken |
