I install it from a source on my computer and when I would like to play a track that I Import, I must wait about 15-20 secs until the hdd finish loading. If I push the play button earlier, sound system crash (OSS) and I must restart computer. I do not think I have a slow computer. It is 1.7 GHz Intel Celeron with 256 MB RAM. I use Mandrake Linux ver. 9.0... I wish you all the best Sincerely yours fan Peter ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Alexander Ehlert (mag) Date: 2003-03-25 10:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=7009 Hi, that sounds more like a problem with your computer to me. I guess you have onboard sound and an IDE harddrive? What is your exact setup? Soundcard, Kernel? As long as glame is loading you can't press play anyway and after that hard disk activity is due to the kernel swapping. How large is your soundfile you're importing? Cheers, Alex ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=101627&aid=709300&group_id=1627 |
