It seems to be a problem with libaudiofile. Which version is
your libaudiofile package? Did you reach import through the
"Apply operation" menu or directly (I assume the latter)?
It worked for 0.4.2 probably because you didnt had libaudiofile
support included and reached our native wave reader (which you
can force for 0.5.2, too, if you de-install your libaudiofile-dev
package before building glame).

Btw. it maybe a broken wave file libaudiofile chokes on, can you
make the file downloadable somewhere so we can try to reproduce
the bug?
