Hello, there is allot of bugs on Canon 6700D printer driver.

  1. The printer prints OK only in "Plain paper" see for screenshots

  2. The printer does not print in high resolution mode no matter what setting is selected. With one clogged nozzle I get lines is the print. Printer prints 2x faster than with original canon driver on photo papers. Please fix this.

    Hello,
I am the maintainer for this driver, but I need more information.
The good news is none of the resolution modes use compression, so there is no trouble with ink compression to be solved.

    First, the simple parts:
Plain paper modes print OK? Good! In that case, please check how Hagaki (postcard) and envelope modes print, as these use the same or very close resolution modes.

Next, the photo modes and CD modes:
What does "high resolution" mean in your point number two? For the canon driver, the printing is achieved with an appropriate (as interpreted by the printer firmware) combination of tray, media, size, duplex, ink cartridge (black, color, or both for printers that have such choices) and resolution mode.
In that scenario, "high resolution" would mean the highest quality resolution for a particular media type. Usually there are 2 or 3 resolutions per media. It is up to you to choose the combination, and if you make a mistake, hopefully the driver logic will default to something reasonable for the particular media under consideration (most media use different resolution modes).
For checking "printer prints 2x faster" I will definitely need exact choices for both Windows (from where I took the original printjobs to build the gutenprint choices) and your linux printing.

If you can build gutenprint from source, that would help a lot, as you could also help to debug CD printing on the iP6700D.

    Regards,
