I noticed the problem using "Photo" quality and Ultra Glossy Photo Paper 13x18 (I set "premium glossy" on the driver). I tried to make some systematic tests on other papers and qualities by printing a black line using the gimp plugin, and using default settings for the other parameters, but I'm getting unpredictable results: using more than one time the same parameters I get different behaviors. (actually the image I print it is not exactly the same: I changed the position of the line, and accidentally its dimension, to minimize the use of paper) When it doesn't work, the printer prints a 4mm white line at the bottom border, and then starts to fill it, but the result is brighter. When it works, the printer seems to print continuously. Using matte heavy and plain paper I was a bit more lucky, but as I said the result is unpredictable. If you can suggest a better and methodical test procedure I can try to make other tests and give better reports. |
