hi there, i run macos 10.13.6 (high sierra) with an epson workforce 630 that has been on the blink for some time. printer did run fine with high sierra for many years, i cannot figure out what happened to cause this problem — no software upgrade nor additions (as has been the case with others having this problem). research led me to you and https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-print/files/gutenprint-5.2/5.2.9/ gutenprint-5.2.9.dmg, however when running the installer, "The installation failed. The installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install.” i am in need of EPSON WF-630 - CUPS+Gutenprint and it is not in the above mentioned package nor in versions 5.2.11-5.2.15, 5.3.3 (i installed them all and looked). realize i am a “johnny-come-lately” looking for this years-old package, but can you PLEASE help me? tia, melissa |

Hello. I'm tune epson sc-p900 and it have 10 physical channels printhead. How can I use pk and mk at same time in raw mode? I use p800 settings and adding 2 chanels in ink file raw section. As I see pk/mk selecting by initial string in ink settings. Is it possible to describe pk and mk at same time by channel/subchannel? |

Hey, Thanks so much for the work you do with Gutenprint! I've purchased a Canon G3610 then realised that I can't use it with my Mac and have opened and set it up so I can't take it back, I've been trying for a while to set up using 5.3.4 but can't seem to get it working is it because this OS or printer isn't supported or am I just doing something wrong? Thanks again. Ngā mihi nui (many thanks), Stephen |

You could try the Gutenprint Printer Application. It is version 5.3.4 whereas the Debian package in the newest released Ubuntu is 5.3.3. To do so, uninstall the printer-driver-gutenprint package and remove your print queue. Then install the Gutenprint Printer Application from https://snapcraft.io/gutenprint-printer-app Via command line you can install it with the command sudo snap install --edge gutenprint-printer-app Then follow the instructions on https://snapcraft.io/gutenprint-printer-app Does this help? Hi, I'm having insurmountable problems getting my new P900 printer to work with Ubuntu. The other drivers for SC-Pxxx and SC-Pxxxx don't seem to recognise the right paper source and I'm not convinced I'm getting all the quality options. I haven't tried all options but I'd be grateful if you could point me to one that might work, or give me some idea if you have an updated driver in the pipeline. Thanks Barry Barker |

Can you tell me where in sources I can make modification to send dummy data for half pass to printhead? ср, 6 окт. 2021 г., 15:13 Robert Krawitz <rl...@al...>: > On 10/6/21 4:49 AM, Andrew X wrote: > > Hello! > > Im trying to modify <headConfiguration> for SC-p800 and have some issues/ > > When I change <Nozzles> - everything work fine/ When I setup 30 nozzles > - only first 30 nozzles > > printing image. > > But when i trying to change <FirstNozzle> to 20 my print doesnt work. > > > > As I understand it - when nozzles 30 and firstnozzle 20 - nozzles from > 20 to 50 should printing > > image? right? > > > > And when i changing <NozzleSeparation> 5 - printer not printing too. > > > > May be i not understanding how this options should work? Running versions; Linux Mint 20.2 64 bit gutenprint 5.3.3-4 cups 2.3.1-9ubuntu1.1 all loaded via software manager of Linux Mint 20.2 Limited command line vocab, trying to use up my supplies on this unsupported and no more materials available for dye-sub printer, Win11 laptop would not see it so went to my Linux system to try. Prints but I am having issues with Sony up-dr150, it will print 1 print during which it indicates an error "printer not enabled" so correct in gui Printers - localhost and can do again and same result. Under Printer Properties gui shows Device Url as gutenprint53usb://sony-updr150/00702035 (no + noted, had to copy and rename file as that is how it installed itself and I seem unable to rename that field in the gui). Any advice appreciated ? |
