There is a similar scenario from someone with a raspberry.
For me it looks like the communication between the printer and the linux host
is out of sync.
The printer should be supported according to gutenprint's web side.
I haven't found any hints that someone has actually used this printer with cups
and gutenberg on linux but I sure hope that this isn't the case.

If you contat me by email, I can send you a test printjob to send raw to the printer (no interpretation by any filters) to see if the job is good to print.
If it prints, then the issue is purely a CUPS problem.
