#699 Canon Pixma MP640 driver - any change since 5.2.11?

Hi,

I encountered problem with printer Canon Pixma MP640 printer, printing
worked ok with gutenprint 5.2.11, but it works no more with 5.2.12-pre4.
It seems driver is missing - when I tried to add a printer it only
showed driver "Generic Text-Only Printer". Were there any changes with
this driver in new version? I see that driver is still experimental in
gutenprint.

This printer is most definitely working. So I will close this bug report based on the nature of the question. However, in release 5.2.12 a bug entered in gutenprint which prevented A4 media from being chosen correctly for Canon and some other printers. This was fixed in the current git code.

Further information: Please see bug 700 for an issue regardng automatic paper tray selection based on papersize, which has now been fixed in the current git code.

Since the MP640 was used extensively for debugging the above, it is fair to say that it is no longer EXPERIMENTAL in nature (although not possibly not all features are tested by a particular user).
