The Canon Pixma MP190 printer is not in the CUPS database, but the MP180 driver works with this printer. Can the MP190 be added as supported by the MP180 driver?

Thanks,

Luke.

Hello, thank you for the information. I had a look at this printer, which appears to be sold in the US (only?), there is no Japanese model as far as I can tell.

After analysing the printjobs from Windows driver, I can confirm your analysis. It is indeed true that printer modes for the MP180 work (the MP180 uses the MP150 driver).

However, the papers types (media) offered for the MP190 are more than for the MP150 (I should also examine the MP180 for this). So I created a new printer definition for the MP190. The printer resolutions/modes available remain the same, but you get access to several more paper types.

I've also changed the basic printer command initialization, since that for the MP150 actually appears to be not quite what right. So I would be happy to know whether the new and expected sufficient setting for the MP190 works.

Can you please test the latest CVS code to see if this works for you?

    Regards,
