2532|Gigs is still an active project and we are still dedicated to this project. However, development has slowed over the summer as we have been busy with other projects including life. Nick and myself still have plans for the script and will pick back up development in a month or so when things calm down. So, the project is not dead.

This release marks our first stable version. This includes 2 bug fixes from our v1.1 branch. You can now set your number of gigs via $number and it will work. We also added the date function to show_gigs. So, the date format you set in the control panel will be used to display the date on your site.

The ONLY changes came to show_gigs.php and gig_settings.inc.php (changed version number).

Updating: To update your copy; download v1.2 and upload all files overwriting the current ones. No changes were made to the database. DO NOT overwrite diagnostic.php and gig_settings.inc.php (this will cause the installer to repeat). Open your gig_settings.inc.php in a text editor and change the $version at the bottom to v1.2 (we are working on moving this from gig_settings).... read more

This release fixes a few more bugs including a path in the installer which causes it to fail. It also fixes a few more language bugs (thanks to nodrock for the report). You can view all changes in our CVS repo.

The following release is a bug fix only. It fixes several language related bugs with text being hardcoded instead of in the language pack. It also fixes the charset being hardcoded in the installer. Thanks to nodrock for reporting the problems. You can view the changes in our CVS Repo.

Just wanted to post a quick update here that 2532|Gigs is still in active development and will have its first release very soon. We are currently cleaning up the code and doing some testing. The feature list is complete and we will not be adding anything else to v1.0 at this time. However, we are still open to new features to future releases.

So, keep an eye out here and at www.2532gigs.com for more details and the upcoming release.

First I would like to welcome two new developers to the team; Panagiotis and BurtHawk. We have already started working on cleaning up the script and preparing features for the next version.

I also have the CVS repo setup and the latest developers version is in there. Remember the CVS is not stable and may contain bugs. If you wish to help us test the CVS version feel free to and report any problems to the bug tracker.

I have just released the fix for the 'Edit Shows' bug. The bug was deleting shows when you tried to edit them. This has been fixed and you can now edit shows. The next release will be v0.5 and will be a major overhaul of the script. Almost a complete rewrite to organize the code and prepare for some new features. I'm hoping to have the next version released sometime this month. If anybody finds anymore bugs please submit them to our Bug Tracker.

I have released the first public version of 2532|Gigs. This version is 0.4 and is a mess. It works but needs to be cleaned up a lot. A lot of changes will take place before v0.5 is released. Check out the 'change log' and 'TO DO' files for more information on whats to come. If you have any problems installing this script or setting it up please post on the forums here.
