#3 Problems with autoconf

i am using Debian Woody
and get the message:

"configure.in:5: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_PATH_GTK_2_0
If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.See the Autoconf documentation."

when i start the autogen.sh ...
what could this be ?

I had this same problem and reinstalled gtk+ 2.2.1 (I think)
and it worked.
