Cannot compile giflib using c89

One of the latest version of giflib started to use "inline" keyword which is not standard prior c99:
https://sourceforge.net/p/giflib/code/ci/ee776f920f144262f938738619a69e7d0af8e1ca/
It breaks the build using c89 based compilers on old systems suchs as Solaris 10+SunCompiler, and Windows+VisualStudio 2010.
If that change was intentional I assume it should be included in some release notes, if it is not then probably "inline" can be eliminated?
Inverstigating.
They can't be doing pure c89 or they'd choke of bool, too.
Fix pushed.
Note that <stdbool.h> is not part of c89 as well.
