Hi,
I use UltraEDIT for coding. Here you can give a background-color to the codetags for example to display php within html-tags (see screenshot).
I know it's realy hard work to create such a code-in-code feature, but please add background-color.
Greets,
Michi

Hi,
This canned response is to tell you that a GeSHi developer has looked at this feature request. Further information may follow. Thanks for your report!
Language-in-language is already possible with the developement version of GeSHi (1.1.x). For 1.1.x the full API for GeSHi is not yet reimplemented, but the feature itself is already in work there (to be exact: There's already a patch for it). In GeSHi 1.0.x there is no support to highlight two or more languages at the same time. But you can highlight PHP itself in Strict Mode, which "comments out" the non-PHP code. When using te style for Strict Blocks to include an attribute for the background color you can already achieve an effect simular to the desired one. Highlighting of ultiple languages in one source snippet is not technically possible with GeSHi 1.0.x due to limitations in the parser.
