You can use it=20 if you need interoperability with some other Geotools code which has not=20 yet been ported to the new referencing framework (espacially the J2D=20 renderer). Otherwise, if you don't have such constraints, you should=20 uses the following package instead: org.geotools.referencing To be more specific, you should uses GeoAPI interfaces: org.opengis.referencing and "org.geotools.referencing" as an implementation (possibly among=20 others) if those interfaces.
