Thanks for that Artur, I hope maven beta 8 will resolve the memory issue >Currently I have following errors during >GT2 compilation: >java:compile: > [javac] Compiling 55 source files to >/home/wisla/projects/geotools2/geotools-src/defaultcore/target/classes > [javac] [ERROR] >/home/wisla/projects/geotools2/geotools-src/defaultcore/src/org/geotools/map/DefaultAreaOfInterestModel.java:40: >package org.geotools.cs does not exist > [javac] [ERROR] import org.geotools.cs.CoordinateSystem; > >Where should be located this 'org.geotools.cs' package? That package is part of the cts-coordtrans module, are you sure there were no problems during the build of that module which prevented it from being installed? >By the way, during my VPF investigation I found this: >http://openmap.bbn.com/ >Could you tell me please how OpenMap project is different >from GT2? GT2 is more focused on being a toolkit then OpenMap is, in addition GT2 is very focused on supporting OpenGIS standards and its internal architecture reflects this. There is however large areas of overlap and it is hoped that a joint project between GT2, OpenMap and many other Java geospatial projects will soon develop a set of interfaces that will allow us to share parts of our code in the future.
