This is not how geoapi should be operating... It should be creating new versions with new features then presenting them to the OGC for aproval (as a set of change proposals). If approval is not forthcoming then revisions would be made until a version of GeoAPI is accepted. Stable branches of projects (like geotools 2.1) should use approved GeoAPI releases, development branches should be able to use in development GeoAPI releases (that are awaiting approval). This way change proposals can be backed by tested implementations and any implemenation kinks will have been resolved in advance. James |
