[Geotools-devel] GT2 Development Tips

Hi folks, 
I have been perusing the GT2 code for the past couple days. The design
is voluminous and will clearly take some learning! A more practical
concern though, is: how are you folks working on this codebase? The
modules-in-subtrees approach seems really weird, and I can only assume
there is some zen to getting the files included into a working
environment which is useful. Are you using the Forte IDE? Any hints on
how to set up a Forte project to hack on the gt2 source? I am not just
talking about making a jar to use, but actually being able to work in
the tree itself.
Sorry if I am being stupid, but I want to start grokking this toolset,
