[Geotools-devel] Working geotools example?

I tried a few examples in the spike directory, but can't get them working.
Are there any examples working at the moment?

By the way, I've been populating the developers guide on how to use Netbeans 
as I set things up.

I'm thinking about moving onto developing the pan/zoom type tools once I have 
a working code base.
