[Geotools-gt2-users] Routing?

Has routing been attempted on top of shapefiles using 
Java Topology Suite and Geotools? 

if yes can anyone tell me how it can be done?

i have a shapefile of say US highways.
it has features whose geometry type is MULTILINESTRING


how do i form graph out of it?
so tht i can run routing algorithms like Dijkstras
over it?

LineGraphBuilder accepts features having LINESTRING as
its geometry.
RelationshipGraphBuilder wants a FeatureRelator,which
is abstract and is not implemented.

i din find nything tht will create graph out of 
features having multilinestring.
so do i form nodes and edges out of the geometry i
have
and then form GRAPH from it? or is there something
better.
am i missing something?
