Hi, I've successfully compiled all the modules with the exception of 'pickle' which failed while trying to manipulate the file tmp_pickle_delete_me.obj in my home directory, the relevant line of the test report looks like - Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\DOCUME~1\col\LOCALS~1\Temp\tmp_pickle_delete_me.obj (The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open) The file is there and i've attatched all the test output, but I guess I could start experimenting with geotools2 without the pickle package (i'm not sure what it does to be honest). I've read the design document and have got the general idea about using Factories to create tools/map panes and then registering the tools with the map panes - but it would still be helpful to look at some sample programs. Can anyone point me in the direction of any sample/demo programs (e.g. something that lets you pan and zoom around a shapefile) that i can use as a starting point? thanks, colin p.s. i think my initial problems were all due to maven - at one point i decided to delete my .maven dir and started again, after this things started working. Also the maven log file from the build has errors in it, apparently from maven trying to parse numbers from the words "includes" and "excludes" - dunno what thats about but it seemed to work anyway... -----Original Message----- From: Combe, Colin [mailto:C....@na...] Sent: 18 August 2003 17:25 To: 'geo...@li...' See http://geotools.sf.net/gt2docs/developersguide.html#mavenbuildall It's a weird bug with maven, where the first time never works right, and the second generally does. If you did do that you're at the end of my personal maven knowledge, and James will have to help you.
