[Geotools-gt2-users] Zoom and pan slow in ImageLab example

Hello,

I am working on the ImageLab example. Zoom and pan are very slow if the
image is not tiled.
I have tiled the image externally with gdal and I get a good performance,
but I don't know how to do it internally. Is there a way I can do it?
Otherwise,
how can speed up the system when working with large images?


I would really appreciate your help. I've been looking around for a solution,
but I am quite lost at the moment.
