[Geotools-gt2-users] partly redraw when adding features on existing map

Dears,
I am a beginner of geoTools. When testing adding nodes on existing map by mouse, I find that when mouse clicking on the map to add a node, the whole map will flash.
Can GeoTools redraw only the part where my mouse was clicking?
By the way, I add the node on a map with 65000+ multiLineString. 
Nowadays, maps are so large that I think partly redraw may be very helpful when dealing with large maps.
