do you mean the bounds/valid area of the crs? eg.

WGS84 Bounds: 44.0600, 30.9500, 48.0000, 39.8000
Projected Bounds: 410209.3331, 3424490.1031, 786621.9950, 4409941.4181

for EPSG:2058 as listed at: http://spatialreference.org/ref/epsg/2058/

AFIAK this metadata is not actually part of the projection.
