Folks, To clarify I'm seeing: Tests run: 6, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed: 0.035 sec <<< FAILURE! testExternalEntitiesDisabled(org.geotools.styling.SLDParserTest) Time elapsed: 0.017 sec <<< FAILURE! java.lang.AssertionError: parsing should thrown an error at org.junit.Assert.fail(Assert.java:74) at org.geotools.styling.SLDParserTest.testExternalEntitiesDisabled(SLDParserTest.java:301) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:57) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:616) at org.junit.internal.runners.TestMethod.invoke(TestMethod.java:59) at org.junit.internal.runners.MethodRoadie.runTestMethod(MethodRoadie.java:98) at org.junit.internal.runners.MethodRoadie$2.run(MethodRoadie.java:79) at org.junit.internal.runners.MethodRoadie.runBeforesThenTestThenAfters(MethodRoadie.java:87) at org.junit.internal.runners.MethodRoadie.runTest(MethodRoadie.java:77) at org.junit.internal.runners.MethodRoadie.run(MethodRoadie.java:42) at org.junit.internal.runners.JUnit4ClassRunner.invokeTestMethod(JUnit4ClassRunner.java:88) at org.junit.internal.runners.JUnit4ClassRunner.runMethods(JUnit4ClassRunner.java:51) at org.junit.internal.runners.JUnit4ClassRunner$1.run(JUnit4ClassRunner.java:44) at org.junit.internal.runners.ClassRoadie.runUnprotected(ClassRoadie.java:27) at org.junit.internal.runners.ClassRoadie.runProtected(ClassRoadie.java:37) at org.junit.internal.runners.JUnit4ClassRunner.run(JUnit4ClassRunner.java:42) at org.apache.maven.surefire.junit4.JUnit4TestSet.execute(JUnit4TestSet.java:53) at org.apache.maven.surefire.junit4.JUnit4Provider.executeTestSet(JUnit4Provider.java:123) at org.apache.maven.surefire.junit4.JUnit4Provider.invoke(JUnit4Provider.java:104) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:57) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:616) at org.apache.maven.surefire.util.ReflectionUtils.invokeMethodWithArray(ReflectionUtils.java:164) at org.apache.maven.surefire.booter.ProviderFactory$ProviderProxy.invoke(ProviderFactory.java:110) at org.apache.maven.surefire.booter.SurefireStarter.invokeProvider(SurefireStarter.java:175) at org.apache.maven.surefire.booter.SurefireStarter.runSuitesInProcessWhenForked(SurefireStarter.java:107) at org.apache.maven.surefire.booter.ForkedBooter.main(ForkedBooter.java:68) I suspect this is something quirky about my environment. I'm running OpenJDK 1.6. I'm not too savvy about the Java world, but I gather from Jody this is distinct from the Oracle distributed JDK and is not so widely used in the GeoTools community. Perhaps this is related to: https://github.com/geotools/geotools/pull/141 It appears that all the other tests passed though I only determined this by scanning the surefire-reports directory and seeing that only one of the .txt files was larger than 350 bytes or so.
