Hello Doeslei, It's hard to say exactly what is wrong but it *might* be a problem with Maven version 3 vs Maven version 2. NetBeans comes with its own copy of Maven included. In NetBeans 7 this is Maven version 3.0.3. In NetBeans 6.8 I think it was Maven 2.x (can't remember and I don't have NB 6.8 on my system any more). So this might be the cause of the problem. You can check if you are using NetBean's copy of Maven, or another copy installed on your system by going to NetBeans Preferences -> Miscellaneous (toolbar item) -> Maven. I'm using an external copy of Maven version 2.2.1 so my preferences pane looks like this... http://imagebin.org/183047 If you are using NetBean's copy of Maven it will say "Bundled". In that case, you can try installing Maven version 2.2.1 manually on your system, if you don't already have it, by using the download and instructions here: http://maven.apache.org/download.html Next go back to the NetBeans preferences and point it to the copy of Maven you have just installed. Now try building and running your application from within NetBeans. If that doesn't work you can check if it is a NetBeans problem by building and running the application from the command line. Go to the top directory of your project (where the pom.xml file is found) and type: mvn clean install exec:java -Dexec.mainClass=org.geotools.tutorial.MyAppClass (edit the package and class name for your project) GeoTools is supposed to work properly with Maven version 3 but this is quite recent so it is less well tested than with Maven version 2. Hope this helps.
