Hi lim, The new jdbc datastore architecture has been code named "NG" for "next generation". Some of the implementations such as postgis, db2, oracle, etc... use the "NG" naming convention for the factory name to prevent conflicts with the old datastores. Since ingres, like sql server and h2, did not have an old datastore you can avoid using the "NG" naming convention. -Justin On 3/2/10 1:09 PM, lim goh wrote: > Hi all, > > I see many jdbc modules like db2, and postgis implements > NGDataStoreFactory, while mysql and sqlserver implements > DataStoreFactory without NG. Just what is NG? Thank you. > -- Justin Deoliveira OpenGeo - http://opengeo.org Enterprise support for open source geospatial. |
