SessionPool may fail to create connections under high load ---------------------------------------------------------- Key: GEOT-2846 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-2846 Project: GeoTools Issue Type: Bug Components: data arcsde Affects Versions: 2.6.0, 2.5.8 Environment: ArcSDE 9.3/Oracle10g/Linux Reporter: Gabriel Roldán Assignee: Gabriel Roldán Priority: Blocker Fix For: 2.5.9, 2.6.1 SessionPool uses commons-pool as the underlying pool and a custom factory that creates {{org.geotools.arcsde.session.Session}}, each of one holds an {{SeConnection}}. When the pool is hit by multiple concurrent requests and is forced to dramatically increase the pool size, lots of SeConnections are to be created in different threads. This may produce a failure in the SeConnection constructor. Only solution working so far is to lock the creation of SeConnections -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira |
