Do you mean how to calculate the bearing from one location to another
?  If so, the getAzimuth method of GeodeticCalculcator is your
friend...

For example:
calc.setStartingGeographicPoint( long0, lat0 );
calc.setDestinationGeographicPoint( long1, lat1 );

// get the direction from the start to the destination point
double dir = calc.getAzimuth();
