[Geotools-gt2-users] Using OpenStreet Map as Shapefile

Hi,

   Is it possible to convert the maps on OpenStreetMap to shapefile? and
store this into a database? As the site does not provide any format types to
store it of this nature. Although looking at my prevous post a while ago

he said i could but i can't see it on the options.
