Hi PMC, I'm forwarding the bellow request for information about the project, to ask you for permission to give the Prodevelop guys the info about the number of subscriptors to our users and devel mailing lists (they're making a survey of the state of FOSS4G projects for the Girona conference next month). If my opinion has any weight, they're kind and serious people and I personally wouldn't have any problem in facilitating that information, but I think its up to you to decide, they're just asking me due to be close in relationship and me being an active member of the community. cheers, Gabriel ---------------------------- Hello, We are Miguel Montesinos and Jorge Sanz, of the Spanish company Prodevelop, and members of the gvSIG team. We are going to make a presentation at the next "Jornadas de SIG Libres"[1] (sg. like the Spanish FOSS4G) in Spain. We are going to remake last year presentation [2] about "Current panorama of the FOSS for GIS ecosystem", where we present the main FOSS4G projects, their features, relatinoships among open-source community, ... In order to provide more accurate information, we are writing to the leaders/PSC of the main projects to ask for some data, which is not easy to find out. We'd be glad if you could answer these questions, hope it won't take you more than a couple of minutes. The result of this study will be published in the event website, and we pretend to make it available also in English. We'll send you this report when it will be available in English. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Which ones? 5) What are the main libraries/projects your project depends on? 6) Which are the main features that have been added to the project during last year? Thank you very much, and best regards! --------------------------------- Miguel Montesinos Director Técnico PRODEVELOP C/ Conde Salvatierra, 34 - 10 46004 Valencia.
