The system that forwards commit logs to the geotools-commits list also does it for udig-commits, and it is working fine, so the problem is with the list on sourceforge.net. The administrative interface does not give any indication of problems, and there were only two commit messages waiting in the holding queue (it queues messages greater than 300Kb). If we would like to, we could start a new (or maybe move, I'm not sure) the geotools-commits list to a Refractions server.
