For 2D raster data GeoTiff is more or less the de-facto standard,
supported by a large collection of GIS/RS software. So unless there are
specific requriements using a specific format I would advice to use
GeoTiff.

	There are many format can be selected to manipulate raster
coverage, such as geotiff, ascii arcgrid, etc.,  which format is the
best choice for raster when developing with GeoTools? Can anyone give me
some advices!
