Hi, When I am not too busy on thursdays, I attend the Vancouver Gis users meetings. These are 1 hour presentations on some gis topic followed with everyone going to the bar. Next month is the annual poster presentation and I was thinking about presenting something on geotools (I don't feel like presenting on my masters work: I am sick of it right now). Typically these are very informal gatherings attended by about 50 gis people. Vancouver gis people that attend the meetings usually do not know too much about open source gis, but may be interested in ogc implementations (a presentation by a north van. developer on ogc WFS/WMS was well received and he spoke highly of geoserver). I am rather strapped for time (end of school term), but thinking of making something small with the content of the geotools homepage and feature list page. I could also make some handouts. Refractions has nice handouts for postGIS and geoserver. I don't think they have anything for geotools, but I could follow the layout they used. If I do this, I would need for some other people to at least comment/edit what I produce. Preferably someone has material already prepared that I could use, but I should be able whip something up in an hour if not.
