[Geotools-gt2-users] FidMapper for shapefile

I was wondering if anyone can point to the right direction here. We have
several different shapefiles and each of them has a property that can act as
a primary key. Using a big shapefile, the cost of updating the shapefile is
very high. Basically, what I would like is a FidMapper (to map some property
in the shapefile as the fid) to use with IndexedShapefileDataStore. As a
result, it would be fairly cheaper to update shapefile using fid filters.
