You can run one of the examples, from a binary distribution or compilation of geotools verision > 2.3.0, with: java -jar (XXX)gt2-demo-introduction-VERSION.jar where (XXX) can be omitted or be the path to the JAR files and VERSION will depend on what you have downloaded. --adrian On Mon, 2007-03-26 at 10:40 +0000, Rina Bhatt wrote: > > hi, > Thanks for the reply. > > But as u specified, i dont find eclipse as my option. > can u specify me some simpler solution. > or rather a small example showing maps and providing basic > functionality. > > it would be a help for a better start as i am new to JAVA. > i would also like to know whether application build with geotools can > be made browser based or not. > thanks > Reena Bhatt > > On Mon, 26 Mar 2007 10:28:16 +0200 Adrian Custer wrote Hello, On Mon, > 2007-03-26 at 07:50 +0000, Rina Bhatt wrote: > Hi All, > > I am > willing to develop GIS Application in JAVA using GeoTools. > > New to > GeoTools , i would like to know whether GeoTools supports the > > following feature as what i require in my application: > > 1. > Displaying map using mapobjects or component provided by GeoTools > > itself (Would also like to know which component is used by GeoTools to > > display map). > > 2.
