Hi Dominique When we used jdbcconfig, we would first initialise the DB with one manual execution (import=true) and then start up the cluster with a slightly different configuration (import=false). Why aren't you doing this? However, if you really need to start your cluster with import=true each time, you can always tweak initdb.postgres.sql to first select/query and then delete the tables i.e. you can modify the script as much as you want, but I suspect the first solution is what you need. Hello
I am running across the following issue.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start up a geoserver with database clustering enabled
* In the jdbcconfig.properties import=true, enabled=true, init script= initdb.postgres.sql
2. GeoServer starts successfully
3. Stop the GeoServer, and delete the data directory
4. Recreate the data directory, restart GeoServer with the same setup as step1
Error:
GeoServer does not start up successfully because there are duplicate id errors thrown since the cluster tables in the postgres database were not truncated.
Question: Is there a way to remove/truncate the tables automatically if a duplicate entry is detected?
Thank you
Dominique Bessette

Dear GeoServer Community, I hope you are doing well. We are GPS LVN, a company specializing in vehicle tracking solutions in Iraq. We are interested in deploying GeoServer as an on-premise mapping solution to integrate into our tracking system. Our Requirements: 1️⃣ On-Premise GeoServer Deployment A fully self-hosted GeoServer running within our local data center. Ability to store, manage, and serve map layers offline. API support for integrating maps with our tracking system. Custom vector and raster layers, including real-time updates for POIs. 2️⃣ GeoCoding & Address Processing A local reverse and forward geocoding solution to convert addresses to coordinates and vice versa. Offline operation without external dependencies. 3️⃣ Customization & Development Support Assistance with installation, configuration, and optimization of GeoServer. Consultation on custom map styling and spatial data visualization. Scalability for handling large datasets and high-volume API requests. 4️⃣ Technical & Pricing Inquiries Do you provide paid support for enterprise deployment and customization? What are the best practices for optimizing performance for high-volume queries? Would you be able to assist in integrating GeoServer with PostGIS and external APIs? We are looking for a fully offline, scalable, and customizable mapping solution for our tracking operations. Any guidance or support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Hi Brian, This email list is no longer in use; do you wish to join us at geoserver-user <https://discourse.osgeo.org/c/geoserver/user/51> forum? It can be configured to act as a mailing list if you like. Hello everyone -
I am running geoserver with the docker image kartoza/geoserver:2.18.2. I
have added the mbtiles-store and mbstyle plugin in order to upload and
style OSM data from maptiler. And it works! However I cannot get the
sprites to work, so the map is full of dark patches where there should be
dot patterns. I installed the sprites in the styles folder and I configure
my style like this:
{
"version": 8,
"name": "Toner - Landcover",
"sources": {
"openmaptiles": {
"type": "vector",
"url": "
https://api.maptiler.com/tiles/v3-openmaptiles/tiles.json?key={key}"
}
},
"glyphs": "
http://localhost:8080/geoserver/data/styles/{fontstack}/{range}.pbf",
"sprite": "http://localhost:8080/geoserver/data/styles/sprite",
"layers": etc....
I have checked the permissions of the sprite.png and sprite.json files and
they're fine. But when I run curl the resource is not recognized:
geoserveruser@neckarinsel_geoserver:/opt/geoserver/data_dir/styles$ curl
http://localhost:8080/geoserver/data/styles/sprite.json
<!doctype html><html lang="en"><head><title>HTTP Status 404 – Not
Found</title><style type="text/css">body
{font-family:Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;} h1, h2, h3, b
{color:white;background-color:#525D76;} h1 {font-size:22px;} h2
{font-size:16px;} h3 {font-size:14px;} p {font-size:12px;} a {color:black;}
.line
{height:1px;background-color:#525D76;border:none;}</style></head><body><h1>HTTP
Status 404 – Not Found</h1><hr class="line" /><p><b>Type</b> Status
Report</p><p><b>Description</b> The origin server did not find a current
representation for the target resource or is not willing to disclose that
one exists.</p><hr class="line" /><h3>Apache
Tomcat/9.0.44</h3></body></html>
This is also true for the fonts that I installed in the styles folder. Does
anyone know how to solve this problem?
best, Brian Holmes

Hello, I recently updated my geoserver from 2.20 to 2.25.4 (I actually first updated to 2.26, but the problem is the same). Everything seems to be working the same except for the getFeatureInfo for the image mosaic layers. When requesting a getFeatureInfo, I get this error: ```org.geoserver.platform.ServiceException: *Failed to run GetFeatureInfo on layer eccc_wind_predictions:eccc_wind_predictions* at org.geoserver.wms.GetFeatureInfo.execute(GetFeatureInfo.java:106) at org.geoserver.wms.GetFeatureInfo.run(GetFeatureInfo.java:48) at org.geoserver.wms.DefaultWebMapService.getFeatureInfo(DefaultWebMapService.java:266) at jdk.internal.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor312.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) ... If I create a layer with a single geotiff, it works fine. And it used to work fine with image mosaics before. Anyone have an idea of what is happening? Karthikeyan, Kubernetes used normally the ingress controller to loadbalance between the different pods, did you check if there is a timeout on the ingress configuration which is causing this issue and other cause that can happen is that when you wait to long the request is forwarded to an other pod (due to loadbalancing and/or missing affinity rules). If you do not have this issue when you only deploy one instance it probably had to do with one of the two options above. Hello again, with the new GeoServer release 2.26.0, the Docker image is built on top of the official tomcat base image for the first time. We now realized that in the old approach (changed by https://github.com/geoserver/docker/pull/45) "gdal-bin" was installed, but "apt install gdal-bin" is currently missing in the new approach (so in the 2.26.0 image). In case your deployment depends on GDAL (for example by using extensions that need it), things will probably fail. I attached a Dockerfile to this mail that demonstrates a fix/workaround for this scenario. I will soon start a discussion on https://discourse.osgeo.org/c/geoserver regarding GDAL to address this issue. Hi Dirk, Just an alternative solution to your problem.Try to first enhance the image and do the LUT burn with UInt 8 bit. Then publish the image then you may not require the SLD to apply to it.
