Dear Benchekroun, I think your question was to install the database at "another server" =20 like in "another computer" rather than "another database system" at =20 the same computer (localhost)...? If I am wrong, please disregard this =20 reply. What I did (for the geonetwork-2.0.2) was to edit the file config.xml =20 in "web/WEB-INF/config.xml" inside the folder where you installed your =20 geonetwork application. Some lines down in this file you find the xml =20 node <resources> where the mckoi resource is enabled as default. If =20 you for example want a MySQL database server located at another =20 computer than the default localhost, (make sure all other resources =20 than the MySQL is flagged as enabled=3D"false") and modify the xml node =20 <geonet><resources><resource><config><url>... <url>jdbc:mysql://your_server_name/your_database_name</url> To initiate the tables you need for your database, you may use one of =20 the scripts in the folder "setup/sql/create-db-mysql" also inside the =20 folder where you installed geonetwork. You will also need to load into =20 your new tables the data from the .ddt files in "setup/db/*.ddt". I do not know if there is another method where you will not need to =20 get into the code. This is what I did. I hope my experience is of some =20 help to you!
