Maybe you could start by compiling the code and reading the docs.
Our prototype is located in the demos/proto directory, under
'server' and 'client' subdirectories. There's some READMEs around,
and also more docs in demos/design. One of them is the prosaic
geome-design.lyx, other important docs you can find at http://geome.sourceforge.net/documentation.php. Note that these
docs are somewhat out of date currently, but you get the general
idea, anyway.
There are some
hurdles in compiling the software, we are glad to offer our help. You can join geome-devel mailing list to get latest news of the project and to know where we are heading, and to get answers to questions.
Also, it's probably a good idea to e-mail me directly at risto.varanka@helsinki.fi. Tell something about your skills and experience, so we can figure out suitable tasks for you.
