People considering contributing code to the project have no idea about the current development status, nor about past development history of Gentoo due to the lack of a public source version control repository. This makes it very difficult to what to work on, since we have no idea what you're working on or what work you've already done that just hasn't been released.

Please consider setting up some form of public source version control repository, whether that be Subversion, Git, Mercurial, etc. (I have a preference for Git or Mercurial, but it's not my choice to make).

I agree with morgan (hello btw).

I just realized that AfterStep (2.2.9) is keeping it in it's default configuration. So (apparently) there still some developers who are using it and they have probably their own patched version.
Well ... could be some good idea.

I agree with them. A SVN or Git or Mercurial repository would be important.
