Currently e-mails send form Genmod are in plain text.
Since all modern browsers support HTML e-mail.
Preference should be to send e-mails in HTML format.
The advantages are better RTL support, the color
palette from the website can be used to enhance
recognization, layout possibilities are greatly increased.

There are some, myself included, that still believe that the
creation and use of HTML mail was a curse upon the Internet,
not a blessing. It creates the possibilities of worm or
virii inclusion, tracking pixels, is bandwidth abusive for a
task that need not be and finally, in many cases, downright
ugly.

Hi Stephen,

How malicious the creation of HTML mail might be, so is
gunpowder ;) I do believe that HTML mail is a wonderful
thing. Even in plain text mails one can get virii inclusion
if they do not watch the attachments. Bandwith is less and
less an issue. As for cosmetics, taste is personal :)

Do not wander in darkness my friend, plain text will still
be supported. The choice will be left to the admin which
mail format he/she likes to use.
