GenLayers is a web-based tool for creating YouTube thumbnails with AI. The user enters a video title and a brief, plain description of the idea, and the tool generates a 16:9 thumbnail with headline text. Writing long, detailed prompts is not required.
Other input options include uploading a rough sketch to guide the layout, adding a reference image or an earlier thumbnail, and supplying a selfie to place the creator’s own face in the image. Backgrounds can be swapped, and individual details can be changed with plain-language edit instructions.
Pricing is credit-based, with no subscription. New accounts receive 200 credits once at signup. More credits are sold as one-time packs: Starter ($4.90, 600 credits, valid for 2 months), Creator ($7.90, 1,000 credits, valid for 4 months) and Pro ($14.90, 2,000 credits, valid for 6 months). A studio generation uses 20 credits and an AI edit uses 10. Every pack includes a commercial usage license. On the Starter pack, generations may appear
