Hi, I've tested the MetaStockReader module by Yannick, available here (http://geniustrader.org/lists/devel/msg01073.html), and it works fine for me. I didn't test it intensively, but will continue to use it, and will report any problem which may eventually occur. I must say I was pretty surprised, it was a plug and play experience. It simply works. I didn't look into the code itself too much, I've only one suggestion. Instead of referring to the file like this: my $file = $self->{directory} . "\\MASTER"; use this instead my $file = $self->{directory} . "/MASTER"; This way makes it compatible with Unix systems as well. I know MetaStock is a Windows application, but one could copy the MetaStock files to a Unix system, and use them with GT. I also have another question. What is the XMaster file ? I just started using MetaStock recently, and I'm not very familiar with it. I didn't test the XMaster file stuff, because I don't know what it is :) . Anyway, good job. |
