Hi, Following up on my spelling check yesterday, I have now committed other useful files for verification checking. I ran through the whole verification check on my copy of OBO-Edit and added all the repeated words, all the words that are allowed not to be capitalized at the beginning of a sentence, and all the words that can include full stops within them. These three classes of word are saved in separate files in the config directory, and I have added the three files to the OBO-Edit svn repository. I have also attached the files here so that people can request additions or deletions. The repeated words list is a bit long just now, because the verification check currently also catches words that are repeated on either side of the end of a sentence, which is not really what was intended. For example where a definition says 'x process terminates in flowering. Flowering is process in which' then this is also picked up. We only intended it to catch repeated words like 'a a' where someone has accidentally typed a word twice, and to ignore things like 'kinase kinase' where we genuinely intend to repeat the word twice. Therefore the file of acceptable repeated words should really just include words like 'kinase' that ought to be repeated, but I have included words like 'flowering' that are currently repeated across the end of a sentence, just to avoid us all having to click through the verification process each time. This is just a stop-gap solution until the feature is added to take ends of sentences into account, but if anybody objects to this approach we can discuss it further. Let me know if you want me to add or remove anything. Thanks, Jen |
