Hi John,
This is one last thing left over from the SO workshop.
Once we have set up the paths and details of a save, would it be possible to have a quick save hot key?
When we are making big changes, we want to save often, but its a pain to have to go through the whole fancy process each time.
Many thanks,
Karen
command-S has done this for a long time
Command-S is a shortcut for "Save As", but what we really want here is Save, where you don't have to go through the whole "Save As" interface--it should just save again in the same file as last time (and with the same settings).
(I'm working on this now.)
Implemented in 2.1.1-b2.
The FIRST time you save with a particular data adapter, it makes you use the Save As interface (rather than trying to guess all the save configuration options). After the first save, you can do quick save, which will use the same save profile. It pops up a window for 1.5 seconds that says "Saved to [filename]".
