I have tried out several OBOEDit releases. In particular, the OBO-Edit 2.0 Official Release installed ok but when I double-click it does not do anything! (nor even an error message).
This version worked fine in my Windows Vista. I'm using JAVA Version 6 Update 16.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I can add, however, that when I try to launch OBOEdit via "java -jar oboedit.jar", I get

I just uninstalled v2.0 and installed v2.1.1 and the app came up fine. Very sorry for adding static to the system.
I should have been paying closer attention, to be sure. But I'd like to point out that http://www.oboedit.org/?page=download points to v2.0 which is where my error arose.

I had a similar problem installing OBOEdit 2.0 on 64-bit Windows 7. I fixed it by right-clicking the obo-edit.exe file and selecting "Troubleshoot compatibility", it runs under the settings for Windows XP (SP2)
I don't entirely understand UAC on Windows 7, but I suspect the problem may be with installing it on C:\Program Files\ which in some way is treated as privileged - I haven't tested this.

All versions of OBO-Edit 2 and 2.1 run on Windows 7. Probably a user directory access issue where the installer installs the app by default but the user does not have permission to run apps from that directory.

It turned out the fix was to set a lower memory allocation during installation. Most 32-bit JVMs can handle 1860M, but on Windows 7, the amount suggested by the installer is too high, and you need to select a lower value, such as 1024M. I have changed the text on the installer memory setting step to note that.

Hi,
Could you please provide some more details about the problem.
Specifically, version of OE you're trying to install and the error message.
