    Hi!

First of all, many felicitation about Gelide, this is The software I waited for linux for a long time !!!!

I find it really stable and has beautifull intuitive interface.

    So,
before create a new feature request , i prefer create a post here about my problem :

Is it possible for mame roms having the Real name of the game ?
i imported my rom directory, and test to set a mame dat file from "http://www.romcenter.com/" but the games are only named from there *.zip file name.

I know that a lot of emu front end done this .

If it is not a wrong manipulation of my part, it could be a great feature for Gelide.

i'll create a feature request but i wait a response of you before

    Thanks
    Regards,
    Ben

      Hi Ben!

I'm glad to know you like Gelide and that it is useful for you.

It is possible have the real name of games (also manufacturer, year, etc) in mame (and any system).
The problem that you have is caused because Gelide 0.1.x only support ClearMamePro dats and is possible that your is in RomCenter format or in Generic xml format.
In Logix's page (http://www.logiqx.com) you can find lots of dats in diferent formats and DatUtil which is a tool from Logix to create and convert dats between formats.

Now I'm working in the 0.2.x series of Gelide and it now have support for dats in ClearMamePro format, RomCenter and Generic xml.

      Greetings:
      Jamf

It's OK using dat files in "cm" format found on this page :

i used the  "MAME v0.124b (cm).zip" dat file.

      Thanks,
      Benjamin
