It would be really great if you could have a keybinding (CTRL-M for instance) that when activated would hide the sidebar, the toolbar AND the message window all at once, thus maximizing your text area.

I don't think this would take very long to implement, just call the three functions that do that already all at once.

Seems that I was running 10.2 which was missing "Toggle all additional widgets".

However, my problem still exists because "Toggle all add..." does not toggle the sidebar.
Is it possible to have it do that?

Toggling the sidebar too has been discussed in http://lists.uvena.de/pipermail/geany/2007-May/001009.html (and the following). I suggest for further discussion on this topic to use the mailing list.

At least, the possibility to make message window disappear on the fly whould be great!
So the users can set the message window to have a decent wide working area
but it will not bore the programmer while he is writing the code.
    Great idea!
